That was the ITS Austria Conference 2021

ITS Austria – US for USeful!

After a Covid-related break in 2020, around 150 experts came together again on September 20, 2021, to discuss different topics such as data use and quality, MaaS, C-ITS, and intelligent, connected, and automated mobility.

The conference was opened by Federal Minister Leonore Gewessler and the ITS Austria chair Christian Sagmeister. Both began by thanking the ITS community for the successful cooperation and outstanding successes of the past few years. In her speech, Federal Minister Gewessler announced the Action Plan Digital Transformation in Mobility, in the implementation of which ITS Austria will be significantly involved.

Under this year's motto "ITS Austria – US for USeful?" the focus was on the cooperation of the ITS Austria members. The exchange of knowledge and the various projects will make the mobility system of the future more efficient, safer, more effective as well as more sustainable. A new element this year were the so-called "Success Stories". Eleven projects had the opportunity to present their successes in the field of ITS. Here, it became clear how these projects pay off on the goals of the Mobility Master Plan 2030. In the following panel discussion, the trends and developments as well as the opportunities and economic competences were discussed and the focus of ITS Austria was addressed together with the participants.
