1st European Conference on Connected and Automated Driving

Europe's first conference on connected and automated driving took place in Brussels from the 3rd until the 4th of April. Theme of the event was "Connected and Automated Driving - Together, shaping the future", organised by the European Commission in cooperation with the support of the EU-funded projects CARTRE and SCOUT.


Part of the programme on the second day was a presentation by Martin Böhm from AustriaTech, talking about "Cooperative ITS deployment towards connected and automated driving" and presenting C-Roads. Additional speaker on this specific theme were:

  1. Claire Depré, Head of Unit, DG Mobility and Transport (MOVE), European Commission
  2. Dr. Teodor Buburuzan, Leading Communication Engineer, Volkswagen AG
  3. Joël Valmain, Adviser for European and International Affairs, Ministry of Interior, France
